Apple Dumplings

Apple Dumplings are an easy dessert made with apples, crescent dough, a butter sauce, and soda. You can use Mountain Dew or Sprite but the carbonation makes this magic!

John loves apple desserts and loves Mountain Dew. Together = HEAVEN! This is definitely not for those on a diet. You might gain 10 pounds just from looking at the recipe.

Start by rolling up a slice of apple in crescent dough.

Pour a sauce made from melted butter, sugar, and vanilla.

Pour a can of Mountain Dew around the edge of the pan. Sprite can be used as well.

Bake until golden brown. The sauce is to die for!

Apple Dumplings are an easy dessert made with apples, crescent dough, a butter sauce, and soda. You can use Mountain Dew or Sprite but the carbonation makes this magic!

    Granny Smith apples,
  • 2
    (8 ounce) cans
    cans crescent rolls
  • 1
    cup
    butter, melted
  • 1
    cup
    sugar
  • 1
    teaspoon
    vanilla extract
  • Cinnamon
    to taste
  • 1
    (12 ounce) can
    Mountain Dew soda (or Sprite)

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and spray a 9×13 baking dish with cooking spray.

  2. Peel and core apples. Cut each apple into 8 slices each. Roll each apple slice in a crescent roll. Place in prepared pan.

  3. Stir the melted butter, sugar, and vanilla together. Pour entire mixture over apples. Pour Mountain Dew around the edges of the pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon and bake at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until dumplings are golden brown. Serve with ice cream and spoon sauce over the top.
